Q - What is Tang Soo Do?
A - Tang Soo Do translates as 'Way of the Open Hand' or 'Way of the China Hand'. It has been developed from techniques that date over 2,000 years old. It has Japanese and Chinese influence and is hugely respected in the Martial Arts world.
Q - Is it suitable for all ages and abilities?
A - Yes! All ages are welcome to attend and we cater for all ablilties, if you have never studied the Martial Arts before then we are here to help, it can be very daunting entering the Do Jang ( training hall ) for the first time. We pride ourselves on being a very friendly club and we aim to make your first class as comfortable as possible. If you have studied the Martial Arts before then we hope you decide to also give Tang Soo Do a chance, we like to encourage the new trend of 'Cross-Training' within Martial Arts and are willing to teach anyone who wants to learn.
Q - I dont like the idea of grading. Do i have to grade?
A - No. We work for you not the other way around! If you dont like a certain aspect of training then dont do it. We never force students to do something they dont want to do. If you dont want to grade then thats fine, if you do change your mind and want to after a while then we will be happy to help. The only thing that all students do have to do is keep their tuition fees up to date, make sure they are insured with the club, wear the club uniform and have fun!
