Rob James
Robert James, 4th Dan born 24 May 1979 started his Martial Arts training at 10 years of age. The style was a freestyle Karate group and an instant keen interest was sparked which quickly became an obsession of the Martial Arts.
This style was studied until, unfortunately the Instructor had to retire due to bad health and having reached the level of 5th Kyu the hunt for another Art was on. A local Tang Soo Do class run by Mr. Alan Fry was found and training began as soon as possible.
The classes were Traditional, Strict but also had a sense of fun about them where appropriate and the Art itself interested Mr James immensely. After starting Tang Soo Do he has never looked back
'I was looking for an Art form where i could learn more than just fighting or throwing, one that encompassed self defence, tradition and maybe even weapons. I found it all in Tang Soo Do'
Since joining that first class of Tang Soo Do with Mr Fry of the World Tang Soo Do Association Mr.James has had the privilige to train with Masters from around the country and be affiliated to many great Associations and Instructors.
